PrimeQ’s first ‘real world’ Master Class on July 24, 2007 ended with the two dozen students going home having enjoyed half a day of learning and socialising, and three days later the network broke new ground yet again by launching free video tutorials of the course on PrimeQ TV.

The network’s acclaimed Affiliate Marketing Master Class tutorial series, published in the Weekly Q newsletter since October 2006, was brought offline with a crash course on Search Engine Optimization at PrimeQ’s London headquarters, the first in a series of free workshops for the industry.

The crash course began by providing a basic overview of how search engines work and then moved on to techniques to rank well in the results. The five sections were ‘Introduction to Search Engines’, ‘The Fundamentals of SEO’, ‘On-page SEO’, ‘Off-page SEO’ and ‘Advanced SEO Strategies’.

The three course tutors were Nadeem Azam, James G. Evans, and Jonathan Dewey. Students included staff from marketing agencies such as Search Logic, PhD and Saatchi and Saatchi Interactive, merchants such as BMIBaby and several affiliate marketers.

Assistant Producer Liam Craig, who is doing work placement at Saatchi and Saatchi Interactive, exclaimed: “I found the course to be very interesting and informative. I learnt a lot from the session and will take that knowledge into my work. The course providers were very friendly and answered all my questions. I was certainly left with a good impression of PrimeQ and I hope they run more courses.”
